Cancellation policy

Lessons changed or cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice are free of charge, and any pre-purchased hours are returned to your balance.

Inside 48 hours the lesson is normally charged in full, because the slot cannot usually be refilled at short notice. If you booked from a package, the hours are deducted.

Intensive courses block out a large amount of instructor time. Changes need at least seven days' notice to be free of charge. Inside seven days, 50% of the course fee is charged.

Instructor training sessions are booked with a specific trainer and often involve vehicle preparation, so they need at least 72 hours' notice to change or cancel without charge.

If Passwise or your instructor cancels a session for any reason, you will be offered an alternative time or a full refund of anything paid for that session. Pre-purchased hours are always returned to your balance.

Where a session cannot go ahead because of severe weather or road conditions that make tuition unsafe, no late-cancellation charge applies.

Illness, bereavement and genuine emergencies happen. Contact us as soon as you can and we will look at the circumstances rather than applying the charge automatically.

Sign in to your Passwise account and use the cancel option on the lesson, or email hello@passwisedrivingschool.co.uk. The notice period runs from when we receive your message, not from when you decided.

Pre-purchased hours are valid for the period shown when you bought them. Hours returned after a cancellation in good time keep the original expiry date. Whether unused hours can be refunded rather than rescheduled must be confirmed with an adviser and stated here before publication.
